For my final logo I decided to utilize eighth notes into the Name and I used a "slur" to "connect" them together to symbolize unity and togetherness. I feel this logo is simple and quickly sends a message to the audience without a lot of explanation. I also chose the "slur" as a sort of secret message because only people who have been in choir, band, or learned music in the past will know right away what it means.
For my refined images I thought I would play around with Rainbows as well as music symbols to try and send the message of Unity. I feel as though I have narrowed down a few that I think will be great in a finalized presentation. Over the next week I will aim to create 2 or 3 in Illustrator to see how they look as visuals on T-Shirts and Hats, and I will post my finished product next week!
Since this organization is all about diversity I tried to play around with a few logos that incorporated bringing two cultures together. Obviously I have room to grow and expand on these, so hopefully next week there will be great improvement on these designs. In the end, I will only complete one design!
One Voice is an organization which encourages an inter-racial community. They perform together throughout the community to help promote and foster and stronger relationship between those with an African and European decent. They accept all races to join their group and will greet each and every one with open arms.
They hope to bring together a broken community and ease all racial tension to show that we are all the same and should love one another.
Excellence - Excellence attracts more singers and stronger audiences as well as embodies the true beauty of when two races (or more) can come together and make something beautiful!
Diversity - Diversity is where they find their strength to work through their differences and create the music so many come to hear.
Respect - Without respect their mission falls apart. Anyone who wishes to join is welcome without audition. True respect comes from being able to love one another without fault.
Service - One Voice understands that it may take time to heal the deeply rooted issues, and know that it may take more than themselves to get it done. They dedicate their time in encouraging this dream because they know that compassion and acceptance has to start somewhere.
Hope - Racial tensions will not be fixed overnight, but they have high hopes that through working with the community and continuing their love for one another, in time, it can be done!
